Global Music Awards 1999

The Global Music Awards of 1999 is the very first Global Music Awards. Santana and TLC won the most awards with three (3) wins each. TLC also scored a total of nine (9) nominations, the most for the night. The Backstreet Boys were hailed as Artist of the Year while Britney Spears was the year's Best New Artist. Santana took home the awards for Record of the Year and Album of the Year.
